Extra Credit for Physics 231 (Classical Mechanics)
Performing any (or all) of the following exercises will get you extra credit
for the course.
- Send me an e-mail message from your account on the Physics Department
unix machines. I will send you a reply. Print it out and hand it in with your
homework.
- Using Netscape, or a similar program, download and print out a
picture pertaining to physics or astronomy that you have obtained from the
World Wide Web. Turn it in with a brief description of what program you used,
and where you found the picture (include the URL). The source for the image
must be outside of Georgetown's WWW pages.
- Create a homepage for yourself using html. Send me an e-mail message
including the correct URL for your page and whether or not you want it added to
the Physics Department server. I will send you a reply, which you must print
out and turn in with your homework.
- Use a word processor to typeset the solution of one of the homework
problems. The problem must involve at least one equation which must be typeset
by your word processor. The complete solution of the problem must appear on
your paper, including explanations (in words, or in equations).
