Alexis Prevost has accepted a position with the CNRS in Paris. He
will be returning to the motherland in November, 2002
Jeff Olafsen has accepted a tenure-track faculty position in the
Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Kansas.

Katherine Daus has received an Undergraduate Research Award from Sigma Xi.
The award was in recognition of results from her Senior Thesis
presented at the Annual Sigma Xi Undergraduate Research Forum
that was held April 21, 1999 and was presented at the Sigma Xi
induction dinner on May 3rd.

Jeff Urbach gave a contributed oral presentation at ECC5
- the Fifth Experimental Chaos Conference, June 28 - July 1, 1999.

Update
One of us, Jeff Olafsen, gave an Invited Talk
in Atlanta, GA at the
1999 Centennial Meeting of the American Physical Society, March 20-26, 1998.
The talk covered the work reflected here, as well as our advances in
understanding the collective phenomena since submitting the paper June 3.
